Job Title: Technical Administrator

Salary: £23K +

Hours: Full time: Monday to Thursday: 8am – 6pm, Friday: 8am – 5pm


Britain’s biggest power product supplier requires a Technical Administrator to write up reports summarising the results of new product tests performed by our product engineering department.

Main Responsibilities and Tasks:

  • To provide a high standard of administrative support for the Product Engineering Department
  • Create and maintain PC based product construction files
  • Authenticate and validate product compliance certification and test reports
  • Create and maintain product declarations of conformities and technical specifications
  • Maintain product standards and European directive data bases
  • Manage departmental internal and external communications via email & telephone
  • Carry out internet based product research
  • General office duties

Competencies / Attributes:

  • Experienced in working in a technical engineering environment
  • Have a basic appreciation on engineering practices
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Computer literate with Microsoft Office systems
  • Be methodical and have an organised approach to your work
  • Be able to work on your own initiative, without direct supervision
  • To ideally have an appreciation of European product standards and Directive Legislation
